Questions Frequently Asked... 1. Do you offer I-20 Forms? These forms are required by international students wishing to study in the U.S. PCU does not offer I-20 forms. 2. Can I transfer my credits from my college to Promise Christian University? Yes. We accept most college credits and will grant equivalency credit for those courses that are similar to the ones Promise Christian University requires for the degree program the student is enrolled in. Students are required to complete a minimum of 25% of their coursework through Promise Christian University. 3. Is a minister's recommendation necessary? Yes. We believe that all of our students should be member in good standing of a local church. We require a minister's recommendation upon enrollment. Promise Christian University offers their degree program mainly to professional pastors, evangelists, missionaries and Christian teachers and Christian leaders. We do not offer or guarantee job placement. 4. Is Promise Christian University accredited? It is important to understand what it means to be accredited. Promise Christian University is registered with the State of California and authorized to grant degrees in fields of study as specified within our current catalog. There are many accrediting associations and organizations that colleges and seminaries belong to. Some are regionally accredited, some are recognized Christian accrediting organizations, and some are non-regional independent accrediting associations. One of the reasons for joining an
accrediting association is for the purpose of having the privilege of
transferring credits from school to school within those schools that are members
of that accrediting association. 5. Will other colleges accept my credits? Most colleges and universities have a policy for accepting degrees non-accredited learning institutions including Christian schools K-12. You need to contact that particular school and ask them what their policy is. The number of educational institutions around the world is so vast that transfer of credits with each and every one is a virtual impossibility. For that, transferability is treated on an individual basis as needed. Transferability
of credit is at the discretion of the accepting institution, and it is the
student's responsibility to confirm whether
or not credits will be accepted by another college. Promise Christian University's degree program was established for the professional pastor, missionary, evangelist, Christian education teacher and/or parachurch leader who are preparing for a church based or Christian based ministry. 6. Does PCU offer on-campus
housing? 7. Does PCU have a library? Yes, students have access to Southern California's finest Christian library with almost 60,000 books specializing in missions and unreached peoples. 8. Does PCU have a program for
students in developing nations? 9. Grading
